Below are some of the opportunities students have experienced and achieved in recently:
- NZ Dance – PBS achieved 5th place!
- Artsplash events for Choir, Dance and Wearable Arts showcase
- Tournament of Minds – PBS won the Language and Literature division!
- Aims Games (this week in Tauranga) – in news so far, Lucie Thompson has won the Year 7 race – breaking the current record by 20 seconds!
- Netball finals – PBS teams achieved very well in the various grades (PBS Express 1st, PBS Galaxy 2nd, PBS Fusion 3rd!)
- PBS has Talent! Our Year 5-8 place getters really wowed us; Emily Kaye 1st, Bailey Paton 2nd and Devin Direen 3rd
- Kiwi Academic Competitions – results to be announced shortly, but PBS students have received two Excellences and two Merits in English, three Excellences and three Merits in Maths, and two Excellences in Science!
- Kāpiti Coast District Libraries annual poetry competition – students of Room 11 participated and had their poems published in a book titled Āpōpō/Tomorrow
- A mother duck and her 13 ducklings also made it across the school field, safe and sound, during the middle of the school day, on their way to the local stream 🙂
