Aimes Games
Well done to the contingent of PBS students who attended the AIMS Games last week in Tauranga. From all accounts it was a well organised event and everyone enjoyed the experience. This year’s efforts might inspire more parents and students to take up the opportunity in future years.

Check out Room 10s collaboratively built waka as part of their current inquiry unit. Very cool!
Kukkiwon Cup
Congratulations to Joey Olsen of Room 11 who competed at the New Zealand Kukkiwon Cup in Auckland and who won a Bronze medal in his weight division in the Nationals (making him 3rd in his weight division). He has come a long way since he started training at just 5 years old.
His next competition will be the Wellington TUNZ Open Championship end of September.
Kowhai Tree Planting
Some Student Councillors represented PBS at the 10th anniversary ceremony for the Coastlands Aquatic Centre. Annabelle, Ruby G & Ruby B along with the Mayor, Koro Don and other community leaders planted 4 kōwhai trees at each of the corners of the building. This was to commemorate the event and keep the positive energy flowing for this well used community resource.
